Frequently Asked
Questions About FloorGrip

Where can FloorGrip be applied?
FloorGrip can be applied to bathrooms, kitchens, entryways, living spaces, pool decks, patios, senior living environments, healthcare facilities, and commercial spaces. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor surfaces.
Does FloorGrip help prevent slips
and falls?
Yes. FloorGrip is designed to improve traction and help reduce the risk of slips and falls on wet or smooth surfaces. It is especially beneficial in high-risk areas such as bathrooms, pool decks, and entryways.
Is FloorGrip safe for seniors?
Yes. FloorGrip is commonly used in residential homes, senior living communities, and healthcare environments to improve surface traction and enhance safety for seniors and individuals with mobility concerns.
How long does FloorGrip last?
When properly installed and maintained, FloorGrip is designed to provide long-lasting slip resistance for years. Durability may vary depending on surface conditions.
Does FloorGrip change the appearance
of the floor?
No. FloorGrip is a clear coating that maintains the original look of the surface while adding texture for improved traction.
Is FloorGrip antimicrobial?
Yes. FloorGrip is formulated with antimicrobial properties designed to help inhibit the growth of bacteria on the treated surface.

Can contractors or home
safety companies apply FloorGrip?
Yes. FloorGrip offers a Contractor Program for contractors, remodelers, accessibility specialists, and home safety companies who want to provide anti-slip solutions to their clients.
How much area does a FloorGrip kit
cover?
A standard FloorGrip kit covers approximately 25 square feet — ideal for a typical shower floor and surrounding entry area.
How should the surface be
prepared before applying FloorGrip?
Proper surface preparation is essential for optimal performance. The surface does not need to be sanded or etched before application. However, it must be thoroughly cleaned and completely free of mildew, grime, dirt, soap scum, oils, loose debris, and any other residue.
The area must also be completely dry before application. Ensuring the surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants allows FloorGrip to bond properly and provide long-lasting slip resistance.
Can I use regular bath or shower
cleaners on FloorGrip?
Yes. FloorGrip can be cleaned using standard, non-abrasive bath or shower cleaners. There are no special cleaning requirements, and you do not need to change how you normally clean your surfaces.
Avoid harsh, abrasive pads or highly aggressive chemical cleaners that could wear down the surface over time.
For outdoor applications such as pool decks and patios, light power washing is acceptable. Use appropriate pressure settings to clean the surface without damaging it. Routine cleaning will help maintain both appearance and long-term slip resistance.
